About Me
Welcome!!
Sophie is an NYC based singer, actor, and dancer. She grew up in Westminster, Maryland where she began singing, dancing, and acting, at a young age and performed frequently throughout the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. Sophie's passion for a career in theatre ignited when cast as a Nicest Kid in "Hairspray: In Concert With John Waters" alongside the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and Broadway greats Beth Leavel and Paul Vogt. Sophie attended the Manhattan School of Music in 2018 as a musical theatre major. Sophie transferred to The Institute for American Musical Theatre, where she studied under the direction of Michael Minarik. She graduated from the program as a member of the class of 2022. Shortly after graduation, Sophie had the opportunity to travel the United States with the National Tour of Annie 2022-2023 as a Swing and the Assistant Dance Captain. Since, she has performed at 54 Below, The Green Room 42, Don't Tell Mama NYC, The Triad Theatre, and in A Christmas Story at Surflight Theatre. She currently teaches dance classes to students at Dance with Miss Rachel at all three NYC locations. While not teaching, working, or performing, you can find her going on spontaneous adventures around NYC with her friends, working towards her BS in Psychology through University of Maryland Global Campus, trying new coffee shops, spending time with her dogs and family, or binge watching a true crime documentary on Netflix with Clark.
